Hearts of Oak get massive injury boost as five regulars resume training with first team

Giants Accra Hearts of Oak have received a massive injury boost for the remaining few games of the Ghana Premier League as five key players have resumed training.

Midfielder generalissimo Kofi Abanga, striker Gerald Wellington, defender Abraziz Abankwa, youngsters Emmanuel Laryea, and Kenneth Okoro all returned to training late last week and trained with Mohammed Polo’s side at the club’s ATTC grounds in Accra.

The quintet were among 13 first team players who were in the treatment room with various degrees of injuries.

Abanga, one of the longest serving players in the current Hearts team, had been out for close to a month with foot problem while Wellington had not been playing since scoring his debut goal in Hearts’ win over AshGold in Accra.

Okoro had been away since February.
The players will have enough time to gain match fitness as the Phobians will not be involved in action until May 20 when they play Inter Allies at the Accra Sports Stadium.
