Suhum Court Chases Revenue Collector

According to sources, the accused had vanished into thin air, but is believed to be hiding in the region.

Griffix Boateng, according to police reports, committed the offence in September 2011, by allegedly forging some documents of the assembly, claiming that they were receipts of payments made on revenue collected.

The modus operandi of the accused is reported to have been going on for a long time but was only detected this year.

Mr. Peter Boateng was handed over to the police when his alleged fraudulent deals were detected; but was granted bail and has since vanished from the municipality.

Reliable sources disclosed that the police had been relentlessly searching for him.

Samuel Fretcher Kwabi, the Suhum Municipal Chief Executive told DAILY GUIDE that the Assembly had handed over the case to the police to enforce the law.

Meanwhile, the Suhum Police Commander, DSP Samson Anane Appiah has appealed to the general public to volunteer information that could lead to the arrest of Peter Griffix Boateng.

DSP Anane intimated that the police believed he was either hiding at Ekye-Amanfrom or Donkokrom – all in the Affram Plains – Nkawkaw, Koforidua or Agogo.
