Ashanti Club Battles Garrison Mess …On May Day

The tennis courts of the Ashanti Club will be bubbling with action on May Day when the hosts battle visiting 4 Garrison Mess Tennis Club for supremacy.

The special May Day tennis tournament is geared towards promoting the sport and enhancing unity between the two clubs.

The tournament would kick off at 8:00am and it would feature Men’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Ladies’ Singles and Women’s Doubles.

The 4 Garrison Tennis Club would parade players like Samuel Ampadu-Kyei (president), Kwasi Dekyi, Joseph Yeboah Kodie and Jonathan Quartey.

The rest are Samuel Taylor, Elorm Kpe, Alex Yeboah Asuamah, Robert Tetteh, Nana Osei Nsiah Ababio, Mohammed U-Amil, Bridgette Suntinga and Brenda Suntinga.

The host team’s players include George Osei Agyei, Alex Asante Yeboah, Dr. Thomas Dennis, Dr. Nana Adu Akumiah and Ben Dwomoh.

Also on parade for the host team are Paul Dakora, Eric Tsa, Nana Yaw Nyamaa, Ato Hyde and George Addai.

President of the 4 Garrison Tennis Club, Mr. Samuel Ampadu-Kyei aka ‘Kyikyiss’ said the two clubs decided to play each other as part of the May Day holiday celebrations.

He urged tennis enthusiasts and the public to troop to the Ashanti Club to watch exciting tennis.

The 4 Garrison Tennis Club team would be led by the acting captain Salifu Seidu Abebe.
