Ghana goalkeeper Razak Brimah believes he has done enough to merit a place in the Black Stars team for the 2014 World Cup.

The 26-year-old has managed to help Cordoba move from the bottom of the Spanish second tier to climb up to 13 th with two games remaining.

Brimah became an instant hit when he arrived in January from bankrupted CD Guadalajara by keeping three successive clean sheets.

The ex Nania FC shot-stopper is considered one of the reasons for Cordoba’s impressive rise in the second half of the season at a point they looked destined for relegation.

Brimah is however craving for another chance to prove himself worthy of a permanent place in the Black Stars ahead of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

“I arrived here [in Cordoba] when they were last on the table with just a few points but together we have managed to get the team to a good place now even though the season is not over,” he told

“I am playing very well here and my teammates and the coaches here are happy with the impact I have made but then the wish is always to play for my country.

“I have no doubt in quality and I believe I can do very well with the Black Stars of given the opportunity.

“I think I have done well enough at my club to get a chance in the team to prove myself.

“Of course I would like to play at the World Cup but that is not up to me. Mine is to continue to work hard here and pray for my chance to come.”

Brimah has made two appearances for the Black Stars since making his debut in the 2-2 draw with Turkey in an international friendly in 2013.
