Lil Win And Kwaku Manu For Night Of Dance 2 Laugh

Nigerian comedians have been the toast of many Ghanaian comedy lovers but come Friday, May 2, at the National Theatre, patrons will be treated to locally brewed comedy dubbed, Night of Dance 2 Laugh.

The vent, which is the maiden edition of the annual comedy show, will bring on stage two of Ghana’s leading comic actors, Lil Win and Kwaku Manu.

According to Mr. Kwaku Solomon, the CEO of 2M Consult, organizers of the event, the two would be supported by their colleague actor, Salinko. “Together, they will thrill patrons with jokes, comic acts and performances that will go down well with patrons.

He said the show, which will be hosted by TV presenter and actress, Afia Schwarzenegger, would be laced with music performances from Pop Skinny, Castro and Daasebre Dwamena.

Mr. Solomon said his outfit came up with Night of Dance 2 Laugh to nurture the talent of local comedians in stand-up comedy and make them appeal to the public.

“It is worrying that our local comedians do not get gigs like their Nigerian counterparts who have virtually won the confidence of our people.

“We believe it is time to create the needed platform for our people to nurture what they have within them.

“Lil Win and Kwaku Manu are not just actors but comedians who have been on the frontline of comedy business for some time. They have got what it takes to woo back the lost confidence in our local comedy. That is the reason they were chosen for the maiden show.

“They have assured us they will put in fireworks on the day. A lot of work has gone into this event and we are hopeful to pass the test”, he said.
