Leading Member Of NPP Pledges Support To Nkwatia

Mr Bryan Acheampong, a leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has pledged to support the development agenda of Nkwatia in the Kwahu East District.

Mr Acheampong who is also a businessman, made the pledge when he donated a number of items to the Nkwatia community at a durbar of chiefs and people of the town to climax this year’s Easter festival over the weekend.

The items donated included, 50 street lights, 20 sewing machines, and 20 welding machines valued at GH¢50, 000.

Mr Acheampong said he was touched by the communal and giving spirit of the people of Nkwatia over the years, which had seen the area well developed.

He said he would continue to contribute his quota to the development agenda of the area, more especially in the areas of education, health and sanitation.

Mr Acheampong also gave the assurance that he would support the youth to acquire employable skills.

He appealed to those who would benefit from the donated items, to adopt a higher maintenance culture, in order to sustain them.

Mr Acheampong said the provision of streetlights was to serve as a stop gap measure to improve security in the area.
