House of Need International, a non-profit organisation based in Holland, has presented a number of educational materials to support teaching and learning at the Amakom SDA Junior High School (JHS) in Kumasi.
The items, valued at $5,000, included classroom and office chairs, tables and cabinets for the staff and students of the school.
This is the third time the organisation is making such a presentation to the school.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the House of Need International, Madam Rose Sarfo, who made the presentation, advised the school’s authorities to use the items for the intended purpose and also take good care of them.
The Headmaster of the Amakom SDA JHS, Mr Okyere Takyi, expressed his gratitude to the foundation for its benevolence, and gave an assurance that the school would take good care of the items
Apart from the Amakom SDA JHS, the organisation presented a number of educational items, especially laptops, to the Kofiase SDA Senior High School (SHS) in the Sekyere South District and Sekyedumase SHS in the Ejura-Sekyedumase Municipality, both in the Ashanti Region.
Beneficiary schools in the Greater Accra Region include Bawleshie JHS and Share Foundation in Tema in the Tema Metropolis.
