Accra, April 23, GNA – Michael Aryittey Powers Okine, has said, Braimah Bukom Banku Kamoko will regret fighting him in the 12-round non-title Cruiserweight contest billed for the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, May 16.

In an interview with the media, Aryittey Powers said, I will give Bukom Banku a beating of his life and he may be compelled to quit the sport.

I have prepared adequately for this fight and I doubt if Bukom Banku will be able to stand the kind of punishment I will give him on that day.

According to Powers, he is more experienced than his opponent because he had over 40 fights to his credit, whilst Bukom Banku has just half of that.

He added that, he had also fought much tougher opponent both within and outside Ghana.

I am better exposed when it comes to boxing, because I have fought outside the country and with opponents who were far better than Bukom Banku.

I am going to rely on my rich experience to teach him a boxing lesson. I will end his dominance on the local scene by ending the fight in round six.

The tough talking boxer said, he had always been looking for an opportunity to fight Bukom Banku because he was convinced the Africa Boxing Union (ABU) Light Heavyweight boxer was over hyped.

Asked why he requested for a postponement of the fight, he insisted that it was purely on religious grounds.

As a Christian, I dont see why I should be fighting on Good Friday, when everybody was mourning the death of Christ.

I have no regrets taking that decision because it was the best. But now I am ever ready. If even Banku wants to fight me on this Friday, I will be available.

He urged all boxing fans to fill the stands on the night to witness a historic bout.
