Africa Pharmaceutical Summit Coming To Accra

This year, AFRICA PHARMACEUTICAL SUMMIT comes to Accra’s Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel, taking place from 10 to 11 September. For the first time, the SUMMIT will be held alongside the PHARMATECH AFRICA Exhibition, 10 – 12 September, a 100% pharma focussed exhibition on pharmaceutical products, formulation, raw materials, active ingredients, processing machinery, packaging machinery and equipment. “By combining the two events, we aim to provide a comprehensive opportunity for stakeholders to interact, exchange, network and share,” said Miles Mudzviti, Managing Director or Organizer, PharmaAfrica.

What are the benefits?

The SUMMIT offers companies a valuable networking opportunity to dialogue with key public and private sector leaders, exchange ideas and information, and discuss new opportunities for their businesses.

“AFRICA PHARMACEUTICAL SUMMIT will place emphasis on interaction between participants to facilitate an open venue for debate on issues affecting the pharmaceutical industry in Africa with the objective to promote dialogue and collaborative relationships across the public and private sectors,” said Mudzviti.

The co-located PHARMATECH AFRICA Exhibition showcases the latest product innovations, equipment and services, with exhibitors ranging from chemical and raw material suppliers, plant and equipment to packaging machinery and formulations.

For individuals, the Exhibition encourages professional development with learning programmes scheduled throughout the event. “Expanding professional knowledge and specialist training is critical to the long term sustainability and viability of the pharmaceutical industry. It is essential to keep skills sharpened in order to maintain continuous innovation and remain competitive within the stringent environment of the pharmaceutical industry,” said Mudzviti.

Staff who will attend the Exhibition training programmes will reward their employers in many ways, including:

Bringing new ideas back to the workplace
Boosting professional development by cascading information to other staff not able to attend.
