Dwarfs protest against Medeama dismissed

A protest by Dwarfs against Medeama’s use of player Mohammed Muntari Tagoe during their league match has been dismissed by the Disciplinary Committee.

Dwarfs in the protest, claimed that the player was unqualified to have been used by Medeama in their First Capital Plus Premier League match-day-21 fixture played in Tarkwa on March 16, 2014.

The Cape Coast side claimed that Tagoe’s player license was not valid since it had expired since his three-year contract with Medeama signed in December 2010-December 2013 had elapsed.

Medeama argued that the player was issued with a license to play in the league and despite his employment contract with the Club expiring, that did not invalidate the license issued by the Ghana Football Association.
