Citi FM to donate to BASCO orphanage

The Baptist School Complex and Orphanage, popularly referred to as BASCO in the Suhum Kraboa Coal tar district of the Eastern Region is home to students most of whom are Orphans.

Since 2005, Citi FM and its listeners have offered assistance to the students at BASCO to make life more comfortable.

That’s not all, Citi FM as part of its Easter Orphan Project continues  to offer support to several Orpahanges across the country.

In 2013, we started building a Skills and Resource Training Centre to equip the students with skills in fields such as masonry, hairdressing, carpentry, and plumbing among others. Why? To give them practical experience to add on to their formal education because   for some   of them acquiring a skill is their only chance of survival in  the outside world.

Citi FM’s Pearl Akanya Ofori visited BASCO to interact with the students and also find out the present state of the Skills  and Resource Training centre which you helped to build.
