Monte-Carlo: Jo-Wilfried Tsonga reached the knockouts

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga qualifies without really convincing in the third round of the Masters 1000 Monte Carlo.

The 12th player in the world, who played his first match on the Rock on Tuesday, has recovered from a slump in the second set to confirm his qualification in three sets, 6/4, 1/6, 6/4 at the expense of Philipp Kohlschreiber (25th ATP) after 1 hour 53 minutes.

In the second round, seeded No. 9, will face the winner of the clash opposing Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut (45th worldwide) and the semi-finalists of the previous edition Italian Fabio Fognini (13th player worldwide).
