Accra, April 15, GNA – Mr Alan Kyeremanten, a leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has congratulated Mr. Paul Afoko and the new team of NPP National Officers, elected into office at its Delegates Conference in Tamale on Saturday.

A statement issued on Monday and copied to the Ghana News Agency said although the electioneering campaign process was not an easy one, the officers were able to surmount all the challenges that any candidate for such high and important office of the party usually faces.

Mr. Kyeremanten said the elected individuals have indeed shown that they have the courage and strength for public office, adding that, having surmounted the challenge that they faced as individual contestants, however, they have now come together to create a team of managers.

He said issues such as party unity, discipline, the mobilization of financial and material resources for effective party work and preparedness for electoral victory among others, are directly staring in their faces and urged officers to settle down quickly to deal with this enormous task ahead.

Mr Alan Kyeremanten noted that some of the candidates who lost in the just-ended contest have experience; as such, the new executives should not hesitate to tap into such experience and expertise to enrich their own thinking.

He said the entire membership of the party, well-wishers and indeed the overwhelming majority of Ghanaians are looking up to them, in delivering nothing less than a resounding victory in the 2016 general elections, hence all of such people retain the belief that they are up to the task, adding that, you can also count on the total support of the whole party to enable you to achieve this objective.

The presidential hopeful, called on the newly elected officers to work as a team, irrespective of their individual uniqueness, biases and idiosyncrasies.
