Police Wives Stop Gossiping

She said these days wives of police personnel are given all sorts of training to be able to support their husbands in diverse ways.

Mrs. Kudalor disclosed this at the official inauguration of the Western Regional branch of the Police Wives’ Association (POLWA) at the forecourt of the Regional Rapid Deployment Force in Takoradi at the weekend.

The Regional POLWA, with the aim of rallying all the wives of the men in black, has been in operation for some time now.

However, it was officially outdoored last Saturday amid jubilation and inspirational music provided by the Regional Police Band.

It was attended by the wives and men of other sister security agencies in the region.

Mrs. Kudalor pointed out that some policewomen were labeled as lazy people because they fell short of helping their husbands.

According to her, the time had come for wives of police personnel to disabuse that notion through ample demonstration of assistance to their husbands in all facets of their marriage, since according to her, it is not the duty of only the man to take care of the family.

She asked the wives of policemen to take good care of their children and manage their homes properly, stressing that the work of policemen was delicate and that they needed resourceful wives to maintain peace at home.

Mrs. Kudalor also appealed to the wives of policemen to upgrade their knowledge and join the POLWA to promote peace and unity at the barracks.

Mrs. Monica Ansah, President of the Regional POLWA, also launched a passionate appeal to the wives of police personnel in the region to support their husbands in the maintenance of peace.

‘Behind every successful man is a woman, and so I ask all of you women here to be good partners of your husbands’, she urged.
