A general secretary aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwabena Agyapong says his unfortunate accident will in no way affect his chances of being elected.
He indicated he is surely in line for an emphatic victory because prior to his accident, he had already been all over the country delivering his “redemption message” to delegates.
Mr. Agyapong was on Tuesday involved in a car accident on the Accra-Nsawam road which fractured the mid-shaft of his left arm.
Doctors have since given him a 12-hour leave to attend the conference in Tamale.
Speaking to Citi News, the one-time flagbearer aspirant of the party, he said although he is in a lot of pain, “it is part of life…the tears of acknowledgment when they saw me physically present just goes to show you that I am in line for an emphatic victory.”
