I’ll emerge victorious in chairmanship race – Fred Oware

An aspiring national chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Fred Oware says he is convinced he will emerge victorious in his chairmanship race as delegates gather to elect new national executives on Saturday.

This, he said, was because he had made a number of sacrifices, including; “visiting almost all the constituency to talk to people, sleeping in very odd places, and interacting with people to understand and appreciate the purposes of offering better quality measures.”

Fred Oware is contesting the position with three other contestants; the current chairman, Jake Obetsebi Lamptey, Paul Afoko and Stephen Ntim.

Speaking on Eyewitness News, Mr. Oware said:  “So far, I have the assurances that tomorrow [Saturday] at the elections without any doubt, I will come out victoriously”

Asked what makes him so sure of his victory he explained that he has “ a better understanding of the position of the party at this point in time.”

He further stated that the chairmanship position needs a top level manager like him to appreciate the issues facing the party.
