Hearts of Oak attacker Paul Acquah has enjoyed moderate playing time at the capital club this season and is eyeing an improved form and consistency next season.

The former Ebusua Dwarfs youngster, 19, has got 9 games under his belt so far in the season, 5 more than what he had managed in both 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons put together.

With injury to a host of first team regulars, Mohammed Polo has fallen on youngsters to step up to the challenge and the electrifying youngster known for his pacy and blistering play has claimed his chance and scored twice.

“I am just hoping to maintain my playing time in the team. My main aim is to be a regular next season, but now that I have been given the opportunity this season, I will give out my best at all times,” he told Hearts’ official website.

There is still considerable pressure mounting on the former African champions with Hasaacas, Medeama and All Stars all breathing down their necks but they still remain hopeful of finishing in a top-four place to reclaim a continental berth.

“The fans should not cease praying for us, I think with their prayers we can qualify for Continental assignment next season,” he added.
