Tata Motors launches Tata Manza and Tata Aria in Ghana

Tata Motors has launched two passenger vehicles in Ghana to augment their presence in the market.

The Company has introduced the Tata Manza, a spacious and luxurious sedan and the Tata Aria, a 7-seater SUV with a purring 4×4 capability in the market.

The company has officially appointed Modern Auto Services (MAS), as its dealer in Ghana for both the passenger and commercial vehicles.

Launching the vehicles at an event held at the plush Labadi beach Hotel in Accra, the Managing Director, Tata Africa, Mr. Thami Mbele said, “The new passenger vehicles from Tata Motors is yet another step towards consolidating Tata Ghana’s commitment to aspiring customers. With our wide network and service support from our new partners, Modern Auto Services, we are confident that our customers will continue to have a smooth ride.”

In his address, Mr. Johnny Oommen, Head, International Business – Passenger Vehicles, Tata Motors, said “Ghana is one of the key markets for Tata Motors in Africa. We have embarked on a journey with a commitment to excite our customers globally and we look forward to unfold our strategy in Ghana for a deeper presence in this market across several product segments. We are delighted to further expand our presence in this exciting market with the Tata Manza Sedan and the exciting SUV, Tata Aria. Going forward we plan to augment our offerings by including other products in our portfolio on a regular basis. We are very confident with Modern Auto Services and we believe that their extensive network along with our global expertise will bring into the Africa market a range of exciting Tata passenger vehicles.”

He said, the new Tata Aria 4×4 unleashes raw power on road – and surprises customers with its smooth handling. The Aria is powered by a proven and frugal Tata 2.2L Turbocharged, Intercooled Dicor diesel engine.  It comes with several safety features like Driver Air Bag, Passenger Air Bag, Antilock Braking system with EBD (Electronic Brake Force Distribution) and host of convenience features like a fully flat rear seat for extra luggage space, sliding middle seating row, air cooled glove box, reverse parkingsensor, steering wheel mounted audio control system, power windows, electrically operated mirrors and for better ride and aesthetics’ 17 inches alloy wheels.

Powered by 1.4L Safire petrol engine, generating 90PS of power, the Tata Manza is a spacious sedan and comes with a Driver Air bag, Passenger Air Bag, Antilock Braking system with EBD (Electronic Brake Force Distribution) and a host of convenience features like all contemporary infotainment called Bluetooth 5 capable of pairing 5 smart phones for hands-free mobile calls during driving. Other features include steering mounted control systems, engine immobilizer as an anti-theft feature, front and rear fog lamp, height adjustable driver seat, power windows and electrically adjustable rear view mirror including the huge luggage space of 450 L.

He announced that MAS will provide pan Ghana sales and service in Accra– with 18 bays, which have ultra-modern work-shops and showroom. Adding that, the company will offer sales and service facilities in other 3 major cities namely Tamale, Takoradi and Kumasi.
