THE ANGLICAN Bishop of the Sunyani Diocese, Rt Rev Dr Festus Yeboah Asuamah, has donated 10 bags of cement to support the construction of offices for the Sunyani Branch of the National Association of Retired Police Officers (NARPO).
The donation which took place on Tuesday followed a pledge made by the bishop when he inaugurated the Sunyani Municipal branch of NARPO a few days back.
According to Chief Superintendent (Rtd) Rev Kofi Okodie Abayie, Chairman of Brong Ahafo NARPO who doubles as Chaplain of the Regional Police Church, the Association, first to be inaugurated in the country, needs the support of all to help it complete its offices located around the Regional Police Church.
The Vice Chairman of Sunyani Branch of NARPO, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rtd Nana Kwame Amponsah, thanked the Anglican Bishop for the gesture and promised to use the cement for the intended purposes.
The items were donated on behalf of the Bishop by Rev Father Martin Amankwa, Chaplain to the Bishop.
