Merchant Bank Management Calls On Asantehene

The management team of Merchant Bank Ghana Limited paid a courtesy call on Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, at the Manhyia Palace on March 28.

The visit was to formally introduce the new Managing Director of the bank, Ms Nilla Selormey, Chief Operating Officer, Mr Stephen Antwi-Asimeng, and the Director of Finance, Mr Samuel Acquaye, to the Asante King.

Ms Selormey used the opportunity to share the new vision of the bank and extended her gratitude to the people of Asanteman for their loyalty to the bank over the years.

She stated that as a wholly owned Ghanaian bank, plans were afoot to get it to regain its past glory and to be at the top of the pack in the shortest possible time.

The Asante King advised all staff to work hard to enable the bank to regain the top position it held in the 1990’s.

He asked the bank to use deposit mobilisation strategies to attract more customers to the bank, adding that the bank also needed to ensure that it devised products and services to meet the needs of its customers.
