Sir John at the 37 Military Hospital to visit Mr. Kwabena Agyapong

The General Secretary of the New Patriotic  Party(NPP), Mr. Owusu Afriyie, says he has taken a decision to suspend the rest of his campaign until further notice after he received the news about Kwabena Agyapong’s accident.

An aspirant to the position of General Secretary of the NPP, Kwabena Adjei Agyapong was involved a serious accident on the Accra-Nsawan road.

Mr. Agyapong’s vehicle is reported to have somersaulted three times.

His aide , Davis Opoku Ansah who confirmed the accident to Citi News, said his boss and two others have been rushed to the 37 Military Hospital for treatment.

A press statement signed by Sir John indicated that “I have decided to suspend immediately the rest of my campaign tour until further notice. I am also proceeding to the 37 Military Hospital to visit Kwabena where, I am told, he is receiving treatment.”

Sir John also extended his condolence to Mr. Agyapong saying “I wish him and all those involved in the accident a speedy recovery.”

SIR JOHN SUSPENDS CAMPAIGN IN SOLIDARITY WITH KWABENA AGYEPONG

Whilst on a campaign tour of the Greater Accra Region this afternoon, ahead of Saturday’s National Delegates’ conference, I heard the sad news of an accident involving my compatriot, Kwabena Agyepong, on the Accra-Nsawam road.

I have decided to suspend immediately the rest of my campaign tour until further notice. I am also proceeding to the 37 Military Hospital to visit Kwabena where, I am told, he is receiving treatment.

I wish him and all those involved in the accident a speedy recovery
