Polo Cries: I Don’t Understand Why Hearts Is Still Losing

Accra Hearts of Oak head coach, Mohammed Ahmed Polo has expressed his disappointment and grieve at the playing body, technical staff and everyone involved with the team in their losing spree in recent times.

According to him, tactically, he has maintained his squad to win games but it’s rather unfortunate that results are not coming his way as expected.

Heart of Lions over the weekend dethroned Hearts of Oak from the second position in the First Capital Plus Bank Premier League after defeating the Phobians 2-1 in Accra.

Speaking to PEACE POWER SPORTS, the Hearts legendary player now coach seems not to understand the catastrophe his team is experiencing.

“I don’t understand myself, I don’t understand. Though we understand it is football, but if this is how football goes, then there is more to football than we see. Clear chances and they [players] cannot score, so what do we do? Sometimes I blame the players because they are not helping themselves. I am doing my work and those who have eyes can see what I am doing,” he lamented.

Adding that, “What the players are doing is there for everyone to see, if that is their best then it is not enough”.

He however alleged that “some people are against you and want your downfall. We are not supposed to lose some matches but we are losing…what is wrong, if your won people are against you, that is what happens”.

As to whether he will resign from the club, he said “At the right time I will go”.
