Joyous Eugenia Tachie-Menson – Vlisco Ambassador 2014
Eugenia Tachie-Menson, a social entrepreneur has won the Vlisco Ambassador 2014 award to climax the Vlisco Women’s Month Awards held at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra on Saturday night.
On the night, Eugenia beat communications consultant and broadcaster, Anita Erskine-Amaizo and accountant, Ayesha Bedwei to win the prestigious prize to become the 2014 Vlisco ambassador.
Dubbed ‘Dare To Dream’, the live event climaxed a rigorous one month exposure to the three nominees.
Also awarded on the night was fashion designer, Alinafe who picked up the prize for the Vlisco Fashion Fund Competition, winning $2,500 and a trip to the Netherlands, home of Vlisco.

The well-attended ceremony had former first lady, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, Madam Joyce Aryea, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Art and Culture, Dzifa Gomashie, Hollywood actress, Rosario Dawson and Nollywood actress, Stephanie Okereke-Linus in attendance.
The even was co-hosted by Kokoi Selormey and Stephanie Okereke-Linus.
Poet Nana Asaase provided entertainment on the night as well as a stunning and electrifying performance by Noella Wayila and Nana Perbi Cultural Troupe.
There was also a fashion showcase by three designers who have been clothing all three nominees of the Vlisco Women’s Month Awards including SheByBena and Pokua Poqu.
The winner was elected through public voting for the four-weeks. The public were asked to vote for the three women via SMS and the Vlisco website in order for one of them to be named as the Vlisco ambassador.
