Ahmed Toure Wants a Third Spell With Kotoko

Former Asante Kotoko Ivorian forward Ahmed ‘Simba’ Toure is set to make another return to the Porcupine family after expressing his interest to play for the record Ghana League champions next season, Ghanasportsonline.com has gathered.

The 26 year old marksman left Kotoko two seasons ago to join Egyptian top-flight side El Gouna but contractual disagreements between the player and his employers led to the termination of the relationship last season.

Toure has since been globetrotting to find himself a new club, with the 2011 Ghana Premier League best player been linked with a move to Accra Hearts of Oak during the last transfer window but the deal couldn’t materialise.

Ghanasportsonline.com sources has gathered that Ahmed Toure has contacted some top Kotoko chiefs and expressed his desire to feature for the side again and was expected to hold talks with Asante Kotoko board member Alhaji Abu Lamin during the week but the meeting has been rescheduled for a later date.

Asante Kotoko General Manager stated this week that the club is in hunt for an established striker who could propel them in the impending CAF Champions league campaign next year and rumours are rife in the Garden City that Toure, could make a return to the Baba Yara Stadium for a third spell.
