I Will Support Wontumi To Organize The “Arab Spring” Revolt to Overthrow Mahama – Kofi Jumah

Former Member of Parliament for Asokwa Constituency, Maxwell Kofi Jumah has openly pledged that he will support the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi-Boasiako to overthrow the incumbent government.

According to him, President John Dramani Mahama has done nothing over the years to resolve the economic crisis facing the nation.

Kofi Jumah who has been a critic to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mahama-led administration noted that the call by Bernard Antwi-Boasiako also known as ‘Chairman Wontumi’ to produce in the Ashanti Region, a regime-changing uprising in Tunisia popularly known as “Arab Spring” against the NDC Mahama-led government is praiseworthy.

‘Wontumi’ made this assertion when addressing a rally in the Kumasi.

He said, people in the Region are disgusted with the capitation policy of the National Health Insurance Scheme being piloted in the region by government.

Expressing his grievances, ‘Chairman Wontumi’ chanted that “If he (President Mahama) knows what is best for him, he will abandon this capitation policy, in a months time; I ‘Chairman Wontumi’ will call on one million to two million people in the Ashanti Region to join a big demonstration for about a month. What the Tunisians did, we are going to do same here in Ashanti Region; May ‘Chairman Wontumi’ never rest until the NDC is overthrown”.

In support of what ‘Wontumi’ said, Kofi Jumah also known as ‘Kofi Ghana’ described the Mahama’s governance as “useless” adding; “I see no wrong in what ‘Wontumi’ said. In fact I support every word he (Wontumi) said. I will join him and will be part of the organizers for the uprise. We will keep fighting till we overthrow this government”.

According to him, his wish is to see the NDC government out of power because they are “visionless”.

“I want to see the people of this country live comfortably, but not under this government,” he said on Adom FM.

Nonetheless, the former NPP MP called on traditional leaders in the Ashanti Region to join the crusade for the uprising.
