Former Ghana defender Samuel Osei Kuffuor envisages a tough World Cup for the Black Stars in Brazil and says the huge expectations and previous performances by Ghana at the World cup will put the Stars under excessive pressure in the tournament.
The ex Bayern Munich centre-back has stated that the Black Stars have been placed in a very tough group for the tournament and has singled out the USA as a team that would be difficult to beat.
“For USA, they will learn lessons from the past and they will come very strong into the tournament and know they face Ghana at a time they have to play better and it will be very difficult for teams to beat them,” Kuffuor said on Supersport.
“Ghana, it will be very difficult for them this time because there will be pressure and pressure everywhere”.
“Because of the performance of the team in the World Cup and the other years it will be very difficult for them in Brazil to do their best in matches”.
Ghana has been placed in Group G of the World Cup together with Germany, Portugal and USA.
