Kotoko Will Go Into Exile If We Fail Again In Africa Next Season – Opoku Nti

Asante Kotoko General Manager Samuel Opoku Nti says the club cannot afford to fail again in the CAF Champions league next season and has mocked that the entire team would have to seek refuge in another country if they get eliminated early on in the competition.

The record Ghana league champions look increasingly likely to retain the Ghana league trophy for a third consecutive time after opening a nine point gap on the log but the former Kotoko striker and current leader of the club says the fans cannot forgive them for any dismal performance in the continental club competition next season.

Opoku Nti told Angel FM “As for the league, I know it look clear that we will win it but I still dont want to let my boys feel complacent about it and drop points until we lift the trophy”.

“But anyway that is not our target, our target is to improve ourselves in Africa (CAF Champions league) and bring joy to the fans again because we have to learn greatly from the mistakes of this year”.

“Next season, we need to fill any hole and any department that we fell short, we need to go out and do great things in Africa because if next season too we enter the competition and get eliminated from it as it happened this year, then my players, the technical team together with the management and board will have to remain in that country and never return again”.

“We will stay forever in which country we get eliminated without coming back to Ghana.
