What Is The Difference Between Dr. Konadu Apraku And Ayittey Powers?

Can somebody tell me the difference between Dr. Konadu Apraku and Ayittey Powers? The answer is simple; they all display and exhibit defeatist tendencies.

Once upon a time, Ayittey Powers was billed to fight Bukom Banku on April 18, 2014, a contract was signed to that effect and then Ayittey Powers travelled to Nigeria to see his spiritual father, the world acclaimed Prophet T.B Joshua of the Synagogue Church Of All Nation (SCOAN).

Ayittey Powers was exorcised of certain demons that according to him were telling him to quit boxing. The man breezes into town full of expectation only for us to wake up Monday with a disappointing news that he was not going to fight.

Now this is the irony, the man was delivered of spirits that were telling him not to fight, he comes to Ghana and he now tells us his spiritual father told him through the Holy Spirit not to fight. He is lost the fight even before the first round begun. Thankfully he has agreed to a new date and that is May 2.

Ayittey Powers, can run but he can’t hide.
In 2007, Dr. Konadu Apraku, was among the 17 aspirants contesting for the flagbearership slot of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for election 2008. After the counting in the University of Ghana, Legon, Dr. Apraku only managed a miserable 17 votes, to the amazement of many political watchers.

I was not surprised, because after all the noise and the slanging the chips were down and as the Supreme Court Judge, who presided over the election petition, Justice Atuguba said, everybody saw his real size and Dr. Apraku was beating.

Dr. Apraku has indicated his intention to contest once again after Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo failed to secure victory for the party in 2008 and 2012 Presidential elections.

Anybody who is going into an election to unseat a twice failed candidate, who has himself announced a third time bid, must know that it is not going to be roller coaster ride.

Dr. Apraku, a learned man and an astute politician as he is, should have realized that when he announced his intention that the days ahead will be tough, but a fighter does not give up in a battle, unless of course the good Dr. Is aware that he can’t get any further than just a statement of intention.

This is certainly a fight of two unequals, a Goliath and David, unfortunately this time the Biblical history will not repeat itself.

Nana Addo is the man to beat in NPP. This should not be difficult for anyone to figure that out. Why? Because the party faithful feel that he has the greatest chance of winning the 2016 election for them.

I think Dr. Apraku has also figured that out if not, why will he start crying Wolf, when they are none.
If you doubt read this story carried by the Chronicle.

MY LIFE IS UNDER THREAT – APRAKU CRIES OUT
Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku, a former minister of state, has raised an alarm over the continued raid of his private residence at Tanoso, a suburb of Kumasi, by armed robbers.

According to him, he has survived three robbery attacks, after he had commented on the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearership contest and believes the incidents cannot be a mere coincidence.

The NPP presidential hopeful, who was speaking in an interview with The Chronicle, said he suspects the orchestrated threats on his life, even though he stopped short of giving any further details.

According to him, few weeks after delivering a statement in Kumasi, during the official inauguration of TESCONA, an umbrella body of old TESCON members, late last year, during which he launched a blistering attack on the two time presidential candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo, robbers have invaded his house on two occasions, but luckily for him, on both occasions, they missed him, because he was outside Kumasi.

According to him, after delivering the lecture on December 27, last year, his house came under two attacks on January 2nd and 20th, 2014, compelling him to hire two macho men to man the house. He, however, said on all occasions, the assailants took nothing from the apartment, a situation which baffles him.

The former NEPAD and Regional Integration Minister in the erstwhile President Kufuor’s administration, said even though he initially treated the two incidents as mere robbery attacks without reading any meaning into them, another deadly strike at his house three days ago has left him thinking all over again. He said in the latest attack, which had his Security Officer critically wounded, the assailants inflicted several wounds on him, after destroying items in the house, including security lights.

Dr. Apraku said he was in Accra when he received a call from his Special Aide, Atta Agyapong, on Sunday March 22nd, that some armed robbers had once again invaded the house and attacked his security man, beating him mercilessly. He said the victim is currently receiving medical care at the Mankraso Government Hospital.

The worried former Minister, who has subtly declared his intention to contest for the flagbearership slot of the opposition party, when nominations open, said he had made a formal report to the police and was counting on the security agencies to unravel the faces behind the serial attacks.

The former MP for Offinso North said though he would not point fingers at any individual for the mysterious attacks, he believes it is no coincidence and suspects foul play.

I am no fan of Nana Addo, but I do not think the man to beat him is Dr. Apraku, the signs are nebulous enough for Dr. Apraku to pull out of his audacious ambition that will not see the light of day.

He will not only be humiliated, but he will be thrashed and perhaps that will kill every ambition he has in the future.
The party wants to be in opposition in perpetuity that is why the “No Nana No Vote” calls resonate everywhere.

It is good news for me and well-meaning Ghanaians, as forward ever, backwards never. We have come this far not to turn back and go and take an old Horse.

Dr. Apraku, remember that this fight is bigger than you.

For crying out loud, armed robbery has been with us since time immemorial, armed robbers do not pick and choose, because one has declared an intention to contest for a flagbearership race, especially that of the NPP. If they is anybody, who should be making this pronouncement, it is my man, Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten, who is the new face of NPP.

Dr. Apraku knows better than this cheap propaganda to court public sympathy.

If the kitchen is too hot for you, you leave.
