Opoku Nti Declares Kotoko As League Champions, Club Already Focusing On Africa

Asante Kotoko General Manger Samuel Opoku Nti has already blazoned his side as the champions of the ongoing First Capital Plus Ghana premier league and the cub have started preparations ahead of their CAF Chmapions league preparations next season.

Kotoko are leading the Ghana premier league with 46 points after 21 matches, and have thus stretched an 11 point gap between second placed Accra Hearts of Oak.

With 9 matches remaining, including a crucial home fixture against sworn rivals Hearts of Oak and a reverse fixture against battling Aduana stars in Dormaa Ahenkro, the Kotoko General manager claims no club will be capable of dethroning them at the summit of the log.

Opoku Nti told asantekotokosc.com, “Kotoko are already champions and we have started putting measures in place for next years CAF Champions League.”

Kotoko play Heart of Lions in the top-liner on Wednesday in the First Capital Premier League on Wednesday as six other fixtures are lined up across the country.
