Andanis, Abudus agree to resume peace talks

The two royal gates of Dagbon, the Andani and Abudu, have agreed, in a new spirit of reconciliation, to resume the peace process between them, under the auspices of three eminent kings, led by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

This development was the outcome of a closed-door meeting President John Dramani Mahama held with the two sides, the eminent persons, the National Peace Council and the President of the National House of Chiefs at the Peduase Lodge in the Eastern Region.

A statement from the Flagstaff House Communication Bureau said Otumfuo Osei Tutu  and his colleague chiefs, Yagbonwura Tuntumba Bore Essa I, the Overlord of the Gonja Traditional Area, and the Nayiri Naabohagu Mahami Abdulai Sheriga, the Overlord of the Mamprugu Traditional Area, were expected to announce a new timetable for their follow-up meetings.
