Uphold The Principles Of NPP—Kwabena Adjei Adjepong

Kwabena Adjei Adjepong, a leading contender for the General Secretary position of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming National Delegates Conference in Tamale, addressing TESCON executives in Ashanti region yesterday, urged the Youth to uphold the principles and moral fibre of the New Patriotic party which includes courage, sacrifice and selflessness. He cautioned the youth to avoid been misguided and misled by materialism.

Although the Civil Engineer’s campaign has officially come to an end after touring 272 constituencies, Mr Adjepong figured his dream to become the chief scribe cannot be a reality without TESCON which serves as the tertiary arm of the New patriotic party. The Young Executive Forum member, Mr Adjepong assured them of his preparedness to work with them when voted as the General Secretary on 12th April. He re-echoed on the need to have proper logistic planning for the smooth administration of the party.

Talking about unity and the need to appreciate dissenting views in a democratic party like the NPP, Mr Adjepong recounted how he campaigned for the Late Professor Adu Boahen in 1992, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo in 1998 and Mr. John Alan Kwadwo Kyeremateng in 2010 all of whom are great men of the New patriotic party. He however believes that all internal wrangling should cease after leaders are chosen by the majority.

He recalled how he lost his father at a tender age and had to depend on friends, relatives and well-wishers for survival. To him, everything he does is geared towards his fellow humans especially, the vulnerable in the society.

Taking a quick swipe at the NDC, Mr. Adjepong said the NDC has failed Ghanaians. He said the standard of living is displeasing and alarming. He said the youth has a huge obligation to vote massively for the New Patriotic come 2016 to restore the fallen economy. Majority of the TESCON executives pledged their support for him as they were able to approve and prize what is excellent and of real value after listening to the Civil Engineer.
