adb renovates police building at GH¢94,000

The Agricultural Development Bank (adb) has refurbished a 12-room syndicate block for the Ghana Police Command and Staff College at Winneba in the Central Region at a cost  of GH¢ 94,000.

The keys to the renovated building were presented to the Police Command on March 21 at a short ceremony on the premises.

A statement from the company said the event was graced by the Inspector General of Police, Mr Mohamed Ahmed Alhassan, the Managing Director of adb, Mr Stephen Kpordzih, and some officials of the two entities.

It added that the renovation of the building followed a request made by the Ghana Police Command and Staff College to ADB to assist in giving a face lift to the block, which had then deteriorated.

The adb MD said at the ceremony that the decision to renovate the syndicate block was in line the bank’s commitment to support  the societies in which it operated.

The IGP commended adb for responding to the request of the service, and urged other corporate bodies to emulate the gesture.

He assured the ADB that the newly renovated and refurbished syndicate block would be put to good use.
