My Age Will Not Drive Me Out Of Politics- Nana Akufo Addo

Opponents of the NPP have for so long played the age card and ridiculed Nana Akufo Addo. Some have even gone further to call on him to move out and pave way for someone younger and energetic to take over from him as the 2016 draws near.

Finally, the 2012 flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party has spoken and from all indication, it appears he is not ready to bow out from the political game.

But delivering a message to party sympathizers, who thronged to his residence to hear him decide on his political future, Nana Akufo Addo stated that the debate surrounding his age has had little impact on him and wouldn’t drive him out from politics.

Once a soldier, always a soldier; and this saying spurs Nana Addo on considering his activeness in politics since the mid 70’s till date.

He recounted that before he arrived at the decision to lead the party in 2016, several calls had been placed to his outfit to return and lead the party in 2016.

“When I was in England, I received several messages from young men and women on my phone and facebook page…I also received some from others who are not NPP members who have promised to vote for me in their numbers come 2016. I have heard the call and I won’t ignore it”, he promised.
