Alhaji Sadat Ahmed Awudu, a former special assistant to the late Vice President Alhaji Aliu Mahama, who is vying for the post of National Co-ordinator of the Nasara Club of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has promised to dilute the propaganda of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Zongos in the country.
Alhaji Sadat was speaking in an interview with Classic FM, a Techiman-based radio station, to announce his plan to visit the Brong Ahafo Region to campaign.
The NDC for so long has been using the people of the Zongos like the way a farmer uses the hoe to weed in the rainy season and later dumps it somewhere during the dry season, according to him.
When the NDC wants votes they go to the Zongos to promise the people sweet things but when they come to power they neglect the place. When the NDC wants people to do its dirty job for them, they go nowhere but the Zongos to recruit the youth to cause mayhem.
He appealed to all those living in the Zongos across the country to resist the NDC, who he claimed had cheated them for far too long.
Alhaji Sadat noted that if given the nod, he would pitch camp in the Muslim communities and sensitize the people, particularly the youth to disregard the NDC’s propaganda.
Alhaji Sadat said former Vice President Alhaji Aliu Mahama brought honour to the Muslim community and as such his legacy should not be left to die with him.
In line with this, Alhaji Sadat called on people in the Zongos in Ghana to vote massively for the NPP to support the notion that you cannot fool all the people all the time.
