Legon Brouhaha: Kwesi Pratt’s Experience (AUDIO)

A decision by the University of Ghana (UG) to block all access routes into the campus to the public created chaos as ‘angry’ parents decided to show their displeasure to the decision by also blocking the Westgate of the university with their cars.

The University blocked all access routes into the school with the exception of the entrance from the Okponglo intersection. Vehicles without the approved UG sticker are denied entry into the school.

According to the parents, whose children are attending the University of Ghana Basic School (UBS), they had not been informed about the decision and moreover, the amount being charged per sticker; GHC 400, was too much.

Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr told Kwami Sefa Kayi on ‘Kokrokoo’ of a similar experience he had on the Legon campus and expressed displeasure at the conduct of university ‘professors’ in the university who are burnt on making the lives of motorists and Ghanaians in general unbearable.
