A Legal Practitioner, Mr.Egbert Faibille has reiterated calls to hold the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) responsible for the collapse of the uncompleted hotel building at Nii Boi Town.

This he said was because; the AMA had failed to notify the owners of the property to follow the right procedure before putting up the structure.

According to him, “if an assembly for reasons known to it realizes that any structure is springing up without the necessary authorization, the assembly has to write or notify the owner of the property that is springing up without the necessary authorization to come and show course why that property is being built without the permit and why it should not be pulled down or demolished”

An uncompleted hotel structure collapsed at Nii Boi Town on Thursday morning.

Two people were confirmed to be trapped under the rubble of the hotel building.

Rescue efforts by the Ghana National Fire Service, the National Disaster Management Organization, the Police Service and other security agencies helped save one victim with the other confirmed dead.
