Information available to peacefmonline.com indicates that a six-storey uncompleted building has collapsed at Nii Boi town, a suburb of Accra.
The incident occurred around 4:15am Thursday morning and according to residents about five people are trapped underneath.
The yet-to-be completed building is said to be located behind the Grand View Hotel.
According to Peace FM’s news editor, Kwesi Agyeman who was on the scene, the building is an annex of the Grand View Hotel but officials of the hotel are yet to comment.
Per reports gathered, the construction of the building has been stopped several times by the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) because it has no building permit but the owner of the building paid deaf ears to it and continued with the construction.
Meanwhile, fire personnel and other rescue team are trying to salvage the situation.
