CCTV For Police Headquarters

The Ashanti Regional Police Command has installed CCTV cameras at the regional headquarters in Kumasi.

The installation of the security gadgets was engineered by the new Ashanti Regional Police Commander, DCOP Kofi Boakye.

The police commander said he supervised the installation of the CCTV cameras at regional headquarters to enhance the work of the police in the region.

According to him, the security cameras would enable him to monitor the activities of personnel, particularly during working hours.

DCOP Boakye stated that his dream is to sanitize the police in the region to help boost the image of the profession.

In line with this, he said at a press conference that he was expecting the police in the region to act professionally.

DCOP Boakye has nicely renovated the upper floor of the police headquarters.

According to him, he would work assiduously to promote discipline in the Ghana Police Service.

DCOP Boakye was of the conviction that discipline in the police service would help in the fight against crime in the region.

He stated emphatically that personnel of the service who violate the law would be punished accordingly.

As part of plans to ensure discipline among police personnel, he said he had appointed police discipline officers at the police headquarters, whose core duty is to promote professionalism.

The Ashanti Regional Police Commander called for support from police personnel.

DCOP Boakye also charged the police to be law-abiding in order to enhance their work.
