The Northern Regional Security Council (RECSEC) still possesses the body of the late chief deposited at the Yendi hospital Morgue.
Attempts to bury the late chief in Bimbila resulted into sporadic gun shots that led to one death whiles several others got injured.
Secretary to the Naa-Salifu Dawuni family, Bawa Adam Gunta in an interview with Citi News accused the outgoing northern regional Minister, Mr. Bede Zeden of taking sides in the protracted Bimbila chieftaincy conflict.
According to him, the Nanumba North District Security Council (DISEC) after meeting with the two feuding factions agreed that the late chief should be buried in Bimbila.
He said no amount of persuasion will reverse the family’s decision to bury the late Naa Salifu Dawuni at the earmarked place in Bimbila.
