Donn Saynt, new entrant into Ghana music optimistic of bright future


Ghanaian R&B artiste, Donn Saynt (D.S), known in real life as Kweku Dominic Twum, says he holds the key to taking Ghanaian music to the world stage.

The artiste, who is based in Koforidua, believes that his sheer passion for music and his dedication towards the craft are the ultimate tools that will propel him to the world stage.

Interestingly, he started singing in the Church choir and began composing and writing his own songs since 1998. Donn Saynt started recording in 2004 but decided to go commercial in 2005.

He said in an interview that: “I do good music, I love to compose songs about real stuffs; what is going on in our environment; what I see, what I learn and what I hear in the society. I love to make an impact in the society through my music.”

He is currently signed onto Donn Saynt Entertainment, owned by Mr David Maccarthy, who believes that  Donn Saynt has the potential to sell not only in Ghana but globally, including the US where he [McCarthy] is based. 

David said in  a statement that: “I promote upcoming artist who has talent. Donn Saynt happens to be a good musician and his music is going to sell big across the world.”

Public Relations Officer of Donn Saynt Entertainment, Mr Joseph Marshall Agyepong revealed that his outfit has lined up a comprehensive promotional strategy aimed at helping Donn Saynt achieve his goal of becoming a successful RnB singer across Africa and the world.

“We will be doing tours in Ghana, South Africa, Tanzania , Mosambique, Nigeria, Europe and America. We will also be working with some international artistes including shooting music videos,” Joseph Marshall Agyepong said.

Management of Donn Saynt says they are set to release two singles – ‘Love on the Highway’ and ‘Will You’ – next week ahead of the release of his album.
