Shatta Wale Warns Charterhouse

THE SELF-acclaimed dancehall king, Shatta Wale, who composed a song to verbally attack Charterhouse, the organisers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) for not winning the Dance Hall Song of the Year last year, has warned that he will not take things lightly if this year’s awards slated for May 3 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) is manipulated.

Shatta Wale, who warned Charterhouse
in his latest released single titled ‘Another Letter’, said his huge fans were going to vote for him to pick a lot of awards, this year. He added that Charterhouse should not try to steal or manipulate his votes this time ‘because everyone knows who run the game. So remember you can’t stop the fame. My little advice to them all is to treat all artistes equally.’

Shatta Wale has been tipped to win the Artiste of the Year Award at this year’s event, even though there are some key contenders for the same category. Shatta Wale is at the top of the pack with six nominations, also coming in close are Sarkodie and Guru with five nominations each.

It would be recalled that last year, Shatta Wale failed to win the Dance Hall Artiste of the Year won by Kaakie.
