Nana Addo Arrives In Ghana

The 2012 presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has arrived in Ghana after a six month trip to the United Kingdom (UK).

Nana Akufo-Addo announced his decision to take a break from politics hours after the Supreme Court dismissed his petition on August 29, 2013.

He was met at the Kotoka International Airport by hundreds of NPP supporters and some party leaders to show solidarity and welcome him back.

Addressing the gathering briefly at his Nima residence, Nana Addo expressed gratitude to the supporters who met him on arrival; “I thank you for the love you’ve showed me.’’

He also indicated that he will meet with the party executives and come out openly and formally about his future in Ghana politics.

Some of the party big wigs who were at the KIA were: Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Mr Osarfo Marfo, Sheik I.C Quaye, Mr Fred Oware, Professor Mike Oquaye amongst others.
