Allotey Jacobs has bemoaned the penchant of Ghanaians to always criticise government instead of helping to make the country a better place to live in.
Speaking ahead of the country’s 57th Independence day celebration to be marked on Thursday, the Central Regional Director of Communications for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) said “we have come far and if we work together, we can achieve a lot”.
Likening Ghana to the Biblical Israelites, Allotey Jacobs who waxed lyrically like a Preacher on Peace FM’s morning show ‘Kokrokoo’, said just as God was able to lead the Israelites from the land of Egypt to a land flowing with milk and honey, “God will also help us move forward to a place flowing with milk and honey”.
“With patience Ghana will make it. There is no nation that God will not allow to develop. It is the collective responsibility to decide on moving the country forward; and indeed the country will move forward.
But the pull-him-down syndrome will not help anyone. What we put our heads together to do, is what will eventually come to pass. I believe with God, we can achieve our aim of making Ghana better and a great nation”.
