The Management of Ghana premier league side Ashanti Gold FC has instructed all its players to stay indoors after 8pm and not to be seen outside, Ghanasportsonline.com can confirm.
The 1997 CAF Champions League finalists have endured a torrid time in the 2nd round of the First Capital Plus Premier League losing three matches consecutive matches.
The board and management of the Len Clay based side have taken measures to instil discipline and ensure the playing body have enough resting time.
There have been widespread reports that some members of the playing body have constantly been sean outside in night clubs and pubs late in the night and as such have little time in preparing for matches.
“We are very serious now and we have to take very critical steps in ensuring that there is sanity in the team because this club was established on a very discplined structures,” Team Manager Gee Aidoo told Angel FM.
“We have lost three consecutive matches and that doesn’t speak well of the club and we have realised that in most of these matches, the players become very tired and cannot even run”.
“We have received reports that the players are always enjoying themselves late into the night at odd places and that has also contributed so we the management with powers from the board has instituted measures to esnure that the players sleep latest by 8pm, if they cannot sleep, they must remain indoors.”
“And we have warned all the players that whoever is seen outside or caught by our voluntary task force will be dealt with accordingly”.
