NDC Founding Member Commends President On State Of Nation Address

Mr Kofi Mintah, founding member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has congratulated President John Dramani Mahama on the brilliant State of the Nation Address.

Mr Mintah said he was particularly happy with the President’s decision to introduce free Senior High School education during the 2015/16 academic year.

He said the state of the Nation Address has proved that government had something good for the nation.

Mr Mintah said the President had actually demonstrated that the Better Ghana Agenda was on course, and appealed to Ghanaians to support him to fix the challenges confronting the nation.

He said what is needed is hard work to support government to improve conditions of living for all Ghanaians.

“There is light at the end of the tunnel”, he said, and urged all to exercise patience and wait for the better times.

Mr. Mintah appealed to Ghanaians to be circumspect about what they say about the country in order not to discourage investors from coming into the country to help its economic growth.

He expressed concern about how Ghanaians practice democracy in the country, and urged them to stop introducing partisan politics into national issues, adding that partisan politics must not be allowed to divide the nation

We must see ourselves as one people with a common destiny, Mr Mintah concluded.
