Christ’s Love For His Bride, the final part of this year’s edition of Divine Romance, a Christian melodrama, will come off today, March 1, at the Trinity Baptist Church in Accra.
The first part of the event, which was held a fortnight ago, attracted a lot of the youth from various tertiary institutions.
According to the organisers, tomorrow’s event is expected to “provide spiritual empowerment for those present and a new impact on this generation.”
The second in the, Divine Romance series since its introduction in 2012 by Worshippers Ministry International, a non- denominational group, has sought to breed future leaders whose lifestyles and leadership qualities would reflect the will of God.
Gospel singer Nii Okai, Impact Project, David Brew, Joyful Way Incorporated and Harmonious Chorale are expected to grace the night with their song ministration.
The event will also witness the launch of the group’s debut album titled Divine Romance (Songs of the Bride).
The president of the Worshippers Ministry International (WMI), Jeff Dzokoto told the Daily Graphic that as a Christian organisation committed to championing the growth of visionary youth in the country, Divine Romance was introduced to bring members of the body of Christ into a relationship with God, their bridegroom.
“Divine Romance portrays how Christ earnestly awaits His bride after paying the bride price with his blood many years ago and the need for us to await his glorious second coming.
“We strongly believe that the message of the Church as the bride of Christ is important,” says the WMI president
He stated that though some people have been attracted by the entertainment aspect of Divine Romance, it had served as a platform to win many of the youth over by demonstating “the unconditional love of God” to them through drama.
