“Ban Me If I Cannot Beat Powers” – Bukom Banku

Cruiserweight Braimah Kamoko has called for a ban from the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) if he cannot defeat Aryeetey Powers in their April 18 bout in Accra.

Their meeting, dubbed “Judgement Fight”, is the most talked about fight in Ghana and a lot has been said by the boxers in terms of their expectations and the latest promise given by Kamoko places his career on the line.

“I am calling on the GBA to place a 3-year ban on me if I fail to beat Aryeetey Powers.

He is making a lot of noise at the moment and I would like to really defeat him.

I am training twice as hard so that I can in the best shape to give a beating to Powers”, Kamoko said in an interview with Citi Sports after a press conference on Thursday organised by leading SuperSport to promote the bout.

According to SuperSport, the DStv and GOtv networks will broadcast the bout, on the African continent and a local broadcast partner will be given a feed for the purposes of the Ghanaian population.

The bout was originally planned for the 26th of April but the hosting of the IBF Women’s Featherweight between Helen George and Saitana of Dominic Republic forced the “Judgement Fight” to be staged a week earlier.
