Blow For Juventus As Minor Injury Forces Kwadwo Asamoah Out of Europa Clash

Juventus will miss their influential Ghanaian utility player Kwadwo Asamoah for Thursday’s Europa League clash against Turkish side Trabzonspor because of a minor injury.

The midfielder, who also plays in left-back for the Italians, has been ruled out of the match because of a muscular injury in his right thigh.

The injury is not thought to be serious so coach Antonio Conte is resting the Ghanaian to ensure that the injury is not aggravated.

Another utility player Giorgio Chiellini, who is recovering from injury, has been called in as the replacement for Asamoah.

Juventus are not keen on risking Asamoah for the match at the Hüseyin Avni Aker because they have a two-goal lead from the first-leg.

The Italians are highly-tipped to qualify to reach the next stage of the competition.

The Old Lady are favourites to carry the day at the Hüseyin Avni Aker in Trabzon after a two-goal lead from the first leg at Juventus.

Asamoah is expected to return to action for Juventus in their next league match at the weekend.
