The Portuguese has noted he wants to do more with his on-loan players during the pre-season to make up his mind about some of them
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is ready to give the players on loan a chance to prove themselves at pre-season.
The Blues currently have 29 players on loan with majority of them at Dutch side Vitesse Arnheim including Ghanaian youngster Christian Atsu.
“I have a fantastic time because I’ll be with them 15 days, training, playing matches,” Mourinho is quoted to have said by London24.
“I think the next pre-season is a fantastic period for me to know them really well and for them to know the way I work and the way I coach.”
He added: “I can make decisions. It gives us time to make decisions. We’re not going to loan players in May or June. Our loan players will be here in the beginning of July. It’s a fantastic period for us to make the right decisions.”
