Briefing the Ghana News Agency in a telephone chat, the Ellembelle District Police Commander, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) John Vordzorgbe said the accident occurred on February 23, 2014 around 12:30 hours.
He said the man diesel truck belonging to the Eagle Star Company had loaded quarry stones from Bamiango en route to Elubo and upon reaching Ambainu Junction, it collided with the taxi cab.
ASP Vordzorgbe further explained that there was a stationary vehicle on that spot and another KIA vehicle had also packed so when the man diesel truck followed up, there was no way the taxi cab could escape collision with the truck.
